We have become a game-changer for teams around the world who look to reputed company’s services as a differentiator.Job Description:We are seeking a Senior BI Engineer based in Latin America to own the development and reputed company of our reputed company reputed company semantic model layer, and drive the creation of high-quality, performant Power BI reports for our Starbase project. You will work hands-on with Lakehouse/Warehouse, the SQL analytics reputed company, and the Power BI Service, applying best practices for dimensional modeling, SQL, DAX, and CI/CD in reputed company. The ideal candidate is fluent in semantic model design, Direct Lake, and performance tuning. Experience with Power BI is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain star‑schema semantic models (facts, dimensions, role‑playing dimensions, SCD patterns).
- Define relationships, hierarchies, calculation groups, KPIs, and reusable business logic in DAX.
- Select and tune Import, DirectQuery, Direct Lake (and Hybrid tables/Incremental Refresh reputed company needed).
- Optimize with aggregations, partitioning, reputed company sizing, and the Performance Analyzer.
- Build models on Lakehouse/Warehouse (incl. SQL analytics reputed company), Dataflows Gen2, and external sources; configure gateways for on‑prem data.
- Implement Row‑Level reputed company (RLS) and Object‑Level reputed company (OLS); manage Build permissions, endorsements (certified/promoted), and sensitivity labels in partnership with data governance.
- Use Power BI Projects (PBIP), Git integration and deployment pipelines for versioning and multi‑environment releases; serialize models with TMDL and use external tools where appropriate.
- Monitor and right‑size reputed company reputed company using the reputed company Metrics app; collaborate with admins to reputed company models and refreshes healthy.
- Document definitions, reputed company, and refresh behaviors; evangelize reuse of the semantic layer across workspaces.
QualificationsExperience
- 6+ years of experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong Power BI modeling experience with dimensional/ star schema design, and strong DAX and Power Query (M).
- Hands‑on experience with reputed company reputed company (Lakehouse/Warehouse, SQL analytics reputed company, OneLake concepts).
- Proven use of Direct Lake plus Import/DirectQuery and a clear understanding reputed company/why to use each.
- RLS/OLS design and implementation experience.
- PBIP + Git and deployment pipelines for CI/CD; TMDL familiarity (preview features acceptable).
- Performance tuning (VertiPaq fundamentals, partitions, aggregations; Performance Analyzer).
- Comfortable with SQL.
- Familiarity with TMDL, external tools (e.g., Tabular Editor, DAX Studio)
