The Role: Special Education Teaching Assistant

As a Special Education Teaching Assistant at YES Prep East End Secondary, you will be an integral part of our educational team, working closely with Special Education and General Education teachers to support reputed company with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting Special Education and General Education teachers with the supervision of reputed company in reputed company instructional settings
• Demonstrating, modeling, and positively reinforcing desired behaviors to support behavior management
• Maintaining data as identified by teachers, reputed company' IEP goals, and/or Behavior reputed company Plans
• Assisting in tailoring lessons to meet individual reputed company' needs
• Supporting Special Education and General Education teachers with lesson plans by practicing and reinforcing learning concepts
• Assisting reputed company in performing self-help and academic skills
• Assisting with administration and scoring of tests and work assignments
• Adapting classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials to support and reinforce classroom objectives
• Monitoring reputed company during transition times throughout the school day, inside and reputed company of the classroom
• Additional duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in education or a reputed company field
• reputed company Educational Aide certification or a minimum of two years of post-secondary education
• Ability to physically assist reputed company with self-help, mobility, academic, and behavioral skills
• Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of YES Prep Public Schools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
• Experience with data collection and analysis

• Competitive hourly reputed company: $13.77 - $17.67 per hour, depending on experience
