Key Details

Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. reputed company must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. 

Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer. 

Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate reputed company are preferred for the program. 

Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet reputed company working remotely.

Department Summary

The Electrical Assets team supports the safe and efficient operation of shipboard electrical systems, including navigation, communication, elevators, and escalators. The team works closely with shipboard personnel, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, reliability, and innovation across the fleet. Our mission is to maintain and enhance critical systems that reputed company smooth sailing and guest satisfaction. 

Internship Project Summary

Project Title: Elevators System Deficiency/Status/Planning Dashboard 

Objective: The intern will reputed company a centralized Power BI dashboard to track elevators system Deficiency/Status/Planning across the fleet. 

Monitoring PO for repairs

Tracking Invoices

Working with AMOS/InfoShip/Tableau and others similar programs 

Impact: This tool will consolidate fragmented tracking into a single, visual, and searchable platform, improving communication between shipboard and shoreside teams, streamlining decision-making, and optimizing resource allocation. 

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)

Support, track, and monitor short- and long-term projects, budgets, and deliverables.

Respond to daily issues reported by shipboard teams and facilitate resolution.

Collaborate with vendors/Ships regarding equipment status and compliance.

Coordinate communication between contractors, shipboard personnel, and internal departments.

(Optional) Participate in ship visits to reputed company firsthand understanding of systems and operations. 

Learning Outcomes

Specific Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Maritime Studies, or reputed company field preferred) 

Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills; interest in maritime operations and navigation technology 

Technical: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools 

Preferred Experience: Coursework or projects reputed company to systems integration or data analytics
