Key Responsibilities

• Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensuring accurate and timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-reputed company filings.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for reputed company necessary federal and state taxes to minimize tax liabilities.
• Managing members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensuring company compliance with reputed company tax requirements.
• Advising management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities and providing recommendations for tax planning.
• Coordinating audits by various taxation authorities and responding to audit inquiries.
• Negotiating with tax authorities over tax payment issues and resolving disputes.
• Advising on tax implications of business investments and transactions to ensure informed decision-making.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar Tax Accountant role.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or reputed company from an accredited institution.
• At least 1 year of public reputed company experience and 1 year of Tax reputed company experience.
• Experience with CCH Axcess or reputed company tax software (we're currently migrating to CCH).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and analyze tax issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate reputed company tax concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a high level of organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in reputed company.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• CPA or CPA Eligible certification (or a strong interest in obtaining CPA certification in the long term).
• Experience with tax planning and advisory services.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including recent changes and updates.
