Onsite Vendor Managed Inventory Technician

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the supervisor of site services and will work closely with the reputed company’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. • Education: High School diploma or GED is required; a 2-year technical degree or reputed company experience is preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
• Collaboration Tool: reputed company Teams experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and transportation required to reputed company job functions
• Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know a plus
• Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus
• Forklift certification is a plus

In this role you will:

• Traveling to our customer locations reputed company different cities in the San Diego area.
• Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment; enters orders into computer systems, Web, etc.
• Receives inbound shipments from reputed company, reputed company, and other common carriers.
• Responsible for handling hazardous materials and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
• Resolves reputed company shipping errors.
• Manages customer’s warehouse inventory, including delivery product replenishment (requires driving and cross-training between facilities).
• Performs additional inventory management-reputed company functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock, conducting cycle counting and yearly inventories, and reporting, etc.
• Shipping coordination activities such as shipping customer material (including hazardous materials), answering customer calls, handling routine issues, operating a hand-jack and push carts, entering relevant shipping information into the customer computer system, and maintaining inspections on safety stations and equipment. Responsible for handling hazardous materials and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
• Interfaces directly with customer POC, responsible for managing consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned owned and 3rd-party inventory onsite at the customer location.
• Supports multiple customers in a geographic area.
• Utilizes VWR and basic customer computer systems (reputed company, reputed company, Info Access, Intranet, StockTracker, ChemSW, and customer-specific ERP systems as well as customer-specific shipping systems) in fulfillment of job duties.
• Meets goals and objectives: safety, performance, and quality.
• Documents SPI Requests.
