Job Summary
As a Special Education Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of reputed company and teachers in Denver, CO. You will be responsible for following and teaching lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, instructing based on subject and grade-specific curriculum, monitoring and assessing student achievements and outcomes, exercising classroom and behavior management skills, and sharing your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education reputed company. We offer a competitive salary package, including up to $273 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments, as well as a range of benefits and perks.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
- Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum
- Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes
- Exercise classroom and behavior management skills
- Share your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education reputed company
- Participate in 1:1 reputed company-ins and discuss school feedback with your Scoot consultant
- Provide input on your needs and preferences to ensure reputed company assignment matching
Essential Qualifications
- Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
- Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- Complete a Background reputed company for Scoot Education (you'll be reimbursed for the cost on your first paycheck!)
- Complete a Background reputed company for the Colorado reputed company (to receive your Substitute Authorization; you will not be reimbursed for the cost)
