Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NOC Engineer I, Outage Management to join reputed company on a full-time basis. This role is based on the 3rd shift (11pm-reputed company) and is crucial for the management and resolution of network outages, ensuring quick and effective restoration of services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network operations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate network outages with Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP, and Local Operations engineers to ensure quick resolution.

• Assist with network outage isolation and troubleshooting.
• Identify chronic issues on the network and provide support in resolving those issues.

• Provide technical and analytical support in determining the root cause of network problems and implement action plans to resolve potential or active network impacting issues.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Ethernet/TCP/IP Networking and a detailed understanding of IEEE and ITU standards for FTTH & GPON technologies. They should be proficient in:

• SNMP, UDP, IMAP, DNS, RADIUS (reputed company), LDAP, NTP, and SMTP.
• Intermediate TDM, SONET, Optical Fiber, CWDM/DWDM experience.
• Ethernet and Mobile Backhaul Experience.
• OTN, ROADM, SONET, cross-connect provisioning, and signal grooming.
• Experience working with MPLS and designing layer 2 and layer 3 private networks, including programming and testing VPN.
• Experience with various protection and switching methodologies to include UPSR/BLSR.
• Ability to completely design, build, program, deploy, and document new IP services from a network core to multiple customer sites.

• Thorough knowledge of the OSI model and its application to various transmission protocols and multi-protocol routing including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VPRN.

Essential Qualifications
