Pay Range: $15.50-$20.00 per hour

Schedule/Shift

Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm PST or 8:30am-5:00pm MTN or 9:30-6:00pm CST or 10:30am – 7:00pm EST

reputed company Oncology Specialty team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative. This fast-paced work-from-home position is part of a dedicated team responsible providing assistance to patients and clients to reputed company understand health insurance coverage, cost and payment options and to answer billing questions over the phone.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a high call volume environment (averaging ~75 calls per day)

• Ability to research and communicate reputed company information in a clear/concise manner

• Ability to navigate and work in multiple systems/websites simultaneously

• Provide assistance to clients and patients, regarding any questions or inquiries reputed company to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities

• Receive and process credit card payments over the phone adhering to PCI compliance protocols

• Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances

• Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems

• Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections and case notes

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations

• Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associates degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3 +years of relevant work experience

• Prior Healthcare experience strongly preferred with strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices

• Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred

• Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits(EOB)

• Courteous and compassionate demeanor

• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures

• Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy

• Must be organized and detail-oriented

• Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience

• Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred

• Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired

• XIFIN experience a plus

• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Remote Technical Requirements

• Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second

• No satellite internet

• Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord.

• Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi
