[Remote] Senior MS Sql Database Engineer/DBA (No C2C/No Sponsorship)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company reputed company is seeking a Senior Database Engineer/DBA to support and coordinate reputed company database activities in a MSSQL Server environment. The role involves designing and creating databases, managing reputed company and access control, optimizing database performance, and resolving reputed company user-reputed company problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide database engineering support for large mission critical systems running reputed company SQL Server
- Implement high availability, database replication, database sharding and partitioning
- Learn new database technologies as application architecture evolves
- Diagnose and resolve production database and application problems reputed company defined SLAs
- reputed company proactive alert and monitoring tools to assist in high performance of large reputed company SQL Server environment.
- Plan and implement database upgrades and migrations as needed.
- Assist internal and external stakeholders in developing high performing queries and ETL solutions
- Monitor and identify database bottlenecks before critical incidents adversely reputed company our clients
- Participate in agile software development processes
- Assist in creating documented processes and procedures to solve reputed company problems
- Work closely with R&D application development team
- Ability to reputed company projects/initiatives and act as mentor for other database engineers in the team
- Ability to work in a globally reputed company team of database engineers
- Recommend, implement, and maintain best practices and corporate standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation with other database engineers to provide 24x7 support
- Ability to work in Windows and Linux environments as needed
- Knowledge of Git and reputed company
- Ability to work with cross functional teams to troubleshoot full application stack
- Familiarity with AWS, On premise, and Hybrid reputed company solutions
- Experience with identifying database performance issues and making recommendations towards resolution
- Ability to write and maintain PowerShell scripts
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

- 8+ years of experience in Database Engineering (or Administration) with MSSQL Server in a production environment
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.

Education Requirements
- Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred
