Retention Manager (Veterinary-Focused)
The Retention Manager for reputed company Insurance Solutions (PIS) is responsible for supervising the operations and staff that handles retention of AVMA PIS policies. They are responsible for managing a multi-channel Property and Casualty renewal sales staff towards the achievement of monthly and annual retention goals. Maximizes sales and profitability while training and developing the renewal sales team. This role has an anticipated start date of March 2026. Your Impact:
- Monitor, manage, and report activity and production output for reputed company Client Relations Account Representatives in an effort to ensure policy retention goals are met or exceeded.
- Evaluate operational strategies by conducting needs assessments, reputed company planning, and cost/benefit analysis. reputed company reputed company critique of operational workflows and processes from application received to policy issuance across departments.
- Establish and monitor productivity, quality of work, and customer service standards. Maintain documentation of processes, procedures and forms.
- Carefully monitor and adjust backlog management and maintenance of turnaround standards.
- Monitor, manage, and report activity, production output, and trends.
- Supervise, coach, train, and provide leadership and guidance to the team; review and approve time off requests and approve bi-weekly timecards; assign performance goals; write and deliver performance appraisals and corrective action. Post, interview, and hire for replacement or new positions as needed.
- Collaborate with IT and other department managers on system enhancements, implementations, etc.; define user requirements; monitor system performance; identify and resolve issues; conduct system audits.
- Serve as key reputed company in operational workflow meetings between departments
- Assure timely and accurate solicitation of renewals including applications, quote acceptances, bind request, and additionally required information
- Work with the retention team members and other BIL departments to optimally staff to maximize policy count and premium retention results, including participating in weekly large firm calls to provide extra
- Work with sales team to determine handoffs to optimize new business opportunities stemming from renewal accounts
- Generate various reports including retention policy count and premium ratios, lost account information, large firm reports, etc.
- Provide reporting and attend meetings with the AVMA, as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in industry operations management; attend educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; reputed company state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities - Direct supervision of the PIS AVMA Client Relations team with responsibility for execution of recommendations regarding quantity and quality of work, methods, maintenance of discipline, interpretation and enforcement of federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, hiring and separations, etc. Complete responsibility for planning, coordinating and directing the activities of subordinates.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or reputed company field; 3+ years of reputed company insurance experience with a demonstrated track record of operational leadership success; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to reputed company with both technical and business team members at reputed company levels reputed company an organization.
- Property and Casualty insurance license required; Industry professional designations desired (i.e. – CIC, CPCU, CRM, ARM, CISR).
