A Brief Overview The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinic patient care team. The position performs clinical tasks and procedures to support the delivery of care. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting patients to obtain services in a timely manner and assuring efficient utilization of resources in the coordination of patient care.
