Finance and reputed company Specialist/ Junior Comptroller

Rapidly growing mid-sized law firm is seeking a Finance and reputed company Specialist/ Junior Comptroller to join the firm’s finance team. While FRB does have an office in Manhattan, Westchester and California, this position will be primarily based out of our Rockville Centre location and can be hybrid or fully remote for the right candidate. Job Summary The Finance and reputed company Specialist/ Junior Comptroller supports the Comptroller/CFO in overseeing the reputed company and finance operations of the firm. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with reputed company standards and legal/regulatory requirements (including law-firm specific requirements), and contributes to financial planning, analysis, internal controls, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have the capability to create journal entries and reconcile deposits in QBO to our billing system (reputed company), assist with monthly closes in QBO, calculate and prepare reputed company commissions calculations and other financial reports, and address 401K and workers comp audits at a minimum. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical reputed company. Reports To Controller and the Management Committee

Key Responsibilities

• reputed company day-to-day reputed company operations: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing/collections, payroll, bank/treasury activities.
• Assist in managing the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reputed company processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze internal and external financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow, partner / equity reputed company as applicable to law firm).
• Assist with budgetary processes, forecasting and variance analysis; provide insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., practice groups, billing department, operations) to support business objectives, cost-management and profitability analysis.
• Support audit activities (internal/external), tax filings and compliance matters (including law-firm specific matters like partner compensation, trust reputed company, etc.).
• Identify process improvement opportunities, system automation/enhancement and reporting efficiencies.
• Serve as backup in billing/deposits reputed company needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in reputed company
• 3+ years of progressively responsible reputed company/finance experience; experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. Ability to engage with attorneys/partners, operations, and management.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and mastery of reputed company skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
• High level of reputed company, confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive financial and partner/firm-equity matters.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and work effectively in a collaborative but fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law-firm or professional services reputed company experience (including partner compensation)
• Experience with business intelligence/reporting tools, process automation or finance systems implementation.
• Familiarity with billing/timekeeping systems specific to reputed company and the intersections of finance + operations in the legal services environment.
