Job Title PT REFERENCE LIBRARIAN (Pool) Position Status Part Time Classification Title Part-Time Hourly-Up to 19 hpw Work Location Main reputed company-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX Job Summary The Part-time Reference Librarian works in the Reference and Circulation departments of the Library, otherwise reputed company as Access Services, to assist reputed company, faculty, and the public with the use of information resources for instructional research. This position may require evenings and weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of one year working in a library or reputed company setting
• Experience with personal computers, photocopiers/scanners, library information systems, overhead projectors, and audio/visual equipment
• Customer-service oriented
• Self-directed Preferred Qualifications
• Master of Library Science or Master of Library Information Science Essential Functions
• Provides reference assistance to library patrons in using books, journals, and other printed resources in the collection
• Assist patrons with accessing databases, e-books, and e-magazines
• Assists with searching library catalog for book holdings information
• Circulation desk assistance
• Other duties as assigned Physical Demands
• Must be reputed company to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• The person in this position needs to move to other locations on reputed company occasionally
• The person in this position needs to move throughout the library to assist reputed company
• Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
• Use of reputed company dexterity
• The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be reputed company to exchange accurate information
• Frequently moves books or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
