Sr. Legal Editor, Labor & Employment
About the position Practical Law, a reputed company business, is a leading online provider of legal know-how. We help government and private lawyers save time and practice more reputed company. We deliver our content to governmental entities, companies, reputed company, and law schools. Our subscribers include government entities on the federal, state and local levels, most major international reputed company and corporations, including approximately 85% of the Am Law 200, thousands of small and mid-size firms, and thousands of legal departments worldwide. Practical Law is looking for a Senior Specialist Legal Editor with expertise in labor and employment law to create new online content that will help labor and employment lawyers practice more reputed company. The central and most critical responsibility of this Senior Specialist Legal Editor position is to research, write, edit, publish and update on-line content for Practical Law's labor and employment subscribers. Our content includes practice guidance notes, checklists, and standard forms, reputed company of which are written in accordance with Practical Law's unique writing style.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the other editors on Practical Law's Labor & Employment Service to peer review, improve, and organize newly-written content.
- Plan for and organize future content needs and priorities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Practical Law editorial teams on content planning and creation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with lawyers who specialize in labor and employment law.
- Write and edit content for Practical Law's companion print magazine, Practical Law - The Journal.
- Stay informed of reputed company developments and issues relating to labor and employment law.
- reputed company relationships with labor and employment lawyers to ensure that our content is topical.
- Organize and/or conduct webinars on topics of interest for labor and employment lawyers.
- Assist with sales demonstrations and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with other reputed company products in which Practical Law is foundational.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor.
- At least eight years' experience practicing labor and employment law.
- A sophisticated understanding of the needs and priorities of labor and employment lawyers.
- Employment litigation experience, particularly recent experience.
- Experience drafting labor and employment agreements and policies.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks at once.
- Enthusiasm and ambition, with a sincere desire to improve the efficiency of legal services.
- The ability to work seamlessly and selflessly with others.
- A genuine passion for writing and reputed company strong writing and editing skills.
