Accounts Receivable, Customer Service Operations

Remote Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM PST (or based on business need) What Accounts Receivable Specialist contributes to reputed company Account Receivable Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance and benefits, preparing and submitting claims to payers, correcting rejected claims, following up on unpaid and denied claims, posting payments, managing accounts receivable, assisting patients with payment plans, and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations like HIPAA.

• Demonstrates knowledge of financial processes, systems, controls, and work streams.
• Demonstrates experience working collaboratively in a finance environment coupled with strong internal controls.
• Possesses understanding of service level goals and objectives reputed company providing customer support.
• Demonstrates ability to respond to non-standard requests from vendors and customers.
• Possesses strong organizational skills and prioritizes getting the right things done.

Responsibilities

• Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and reputed company claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims reputed company standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

• HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business reputed company field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred
• 2 + years’ experience as a Medical Biller or reputed company reputed company Cycle Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of reputed company reputed company
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively reputed company team environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators
