reputed company MSP (Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging) is seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to join the Design and Test team. This team is a multi-disciplinary environment of design leaders and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of automation and how millions of customer orders are fulfilled every day. The automation engineer is responsible for definition of design and validation plans starting from the automation system concept creation up and until the design is ready to be shipped to reputed company fulfillment centers and beyond. Automation engineer will define the concept of electrical, mechanical and control subsystems that are needed to test and validate the reputed company mechatronics and sustainable packaging products. They have to plan and manage the timeline as well as for the reputed company and resources for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs. The automation engineer will work with hardware, electrical, controls development and test engineers, technical operations and solutions engineering to define, execute and report on verification and validation tests.
Key job responsibilities
- reputed company and conceptualize test and validation strategies for Automation systems and their individual subsystems.
- Deep knowledge on HW component validation, unit, integration and regression tests.
- Familiar with safety and quality processes and standards.
- Capable of interpretation and deriving conclusions from multidisciplinary engineering test results.
About the team
The ANR10 test and design team has the key responsibility to assure the definition and implementation of an appropriate development process of mechatronic systems. This includes stakeholder\'s requirements elicitation, definition of the system requirement and system architecture, leading the mechatronic system design and assuring the compliance of the system functionalities with customer requirements by designing and performing design validation and system verification tests.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
- Experience designing and testing industrial automation or packaging machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with testing equipment, processes and standards
- Experience with managing technical projects
- Good command of English (required); Flemish/Dutch is a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep knowledge and experience on writing and execution of design and test processes for reputed company mechatronic and automation systems
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, Codesys) and industrial protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus)
- Good knowledge of LV & HV industrial electrical panels and reputed company safety standards
- Experience working with the following software packages: Team center, Polarion, E-plan
- Experience on definition of system validation and verification test plans including the durability and functional checks
- Knowledge on destructive tests, induced failure tests and diagnosis of mechatronic systems
