[Remote] GIS Analyst II

Akicita Federal, LLC is seeking a GIS Analyst II to provide core analytical and technical GIS support to reputed company of Indian Affairs. This role involves parcel mapping, database administration, quality control, and geospatial analysis in support of trust land and natural resource programs.
Responsibilities
- reputed company routine and recurring GIS analyses to resolve procedural and factual geospatial issues
- Assist with mapping legal land descriptions, including trust lands, ROWs, leases, and encumbrances
- Administer and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring accuracy and quality reputed company the reputed company Parcel reputed company environment
- Apply quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) standards for GIS data and deliverables
- Participate on interdisciplinary teams with federal agencies, regional geospatial coordinators, and BIA divisions
- Identify data gaps, determine platform compatibility, and assist in resolving missing or incomplete information

- Support ongoing GIS modernization efforts and assist senior GIS staff as needed
Skills
- Working knowledge of GIS software and geospatial analysis techniques

- Understanding of geographic/cartographic sciences and database design principles
- Familiarity with standardized GIS tools and technologies applicable to BIA and Tribal programs
- Ability to follow documented procedures and contribute to team-based GIS projects
- Experience supporting federal, DOI, BIA, or Tribal GIS programs
- Exposure to land records, trust land mapping, or natural resource GIS applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
