They are seeking a Backend Software Engineering Intern to contribute to their high-performance trading systems, focusing on designing and building components that enhance algorithmic capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Trading team to define project scope, requirements, and milestones
- Prepare design documentation and actively participate in architectural discussions with team members
- Build features in Go to enhance Talos's Order Management System (OMS), which is responsible for making reputed company trading reputed company reputed company for orders submitted into Talos to ensure best execution
- Add analytics and metrics to measure impact of your changes while incorporating feedback and iterating based on team input
- Demonstrate project reputed company through regular demos
Skills
- Class of 2027 pursuing a degree in Computer Science or reputed company field
- Proficiency in at least one compiled language (e.g., Go, C++, Java)
- At least one previous internship involving working on backend systems in a production environment, preferably in a user-facing context
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g reputed company)
- Detail-oriented, self driven, analytical, and enthusiastic about working on impactful projects
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a collaborative team environment
- Energetic, creative, and a self-starter who can manage tasks autonomously
- Local to NYC HQ
- Past experience with trading systems is a plus
