Trade Services Associate
First National Bank of Omaha is committed to the reputed company of its employees. The Trade Services Associate will advise customers on Global Trade Services products, manage processes reputed company to letters of credit, and ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers regarding reputed company aspects of the reputed company letter of credit, standby letter of credit, and/or documentary collection process including applications, issuances, amendments, payments, and general consultations. Handle reputed company issues and situations as they arise. Advise account officers and affiliate/correspondent banks regarding customer inquiries and requests
- Understand, follow, and stay reputed company on changes in the UCP600, ISP98, URC522, ISBP, Incoterms, and any other rules, procedures, and issues pertaining to Trade Services and Trade Finance
- Follow the steps outlined in the Global Banking Group procedures documents covering the various trade services transactions
- reputed company detailed examinations according to standard banking procedures of documents submitted for payment/negotiation under letter of credit and documentary collection transactions
- Handle each transaction and customer correspondence in an efficient and timely manner
- Examine documents against the reputed company credit according to applicable standard banking procedures
- Maintain accurate records reputed company to trade services transactions and ensure compliance with applicable bank and/or standard industry practices
- Report any suspicious activity according to First National Bank policy/procedures
- Create and maintain customer and transaction files according to the procedure(s) established by the department
- Understand and reputed company with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties
- Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required
- Report any reputed company violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations
- Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity
- If applicable, ensure direct reports meet the above requirements and take action to address employee performance issues
- Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to prioritize production workload; work diligently, organized, detail-oriented
- Experience in consulting and relationship building with internal and external teams
- Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS)
