Accountant II - Regulatory Reporting
Ally Financial is a customer-centric, leading digital financial services company. The Accountant II will be a member of the Regulatory Reporting team, responsible for preparing and analyzing regulatory reports to ensure accurate and timely submissions while collaborating with various business units.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing assigned regulatory reports and schedules including performing analytical procedures to ensure reports are accurate and in compliance with required regulations
- Work with multiple business lines to reputed company an understanding of the business activities and reporting processes
- Partner with business line personnel to reputed company them on regulatory reporting requirements and provide guidance on implementation of any new or revised requirements
- Coordinate with SEC reporting team and other internal reporting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Collaborate with business units and other regulatory reporting team members to improve processes and efficiencies
- Review, update, and maintain procedures and process documentation for assigned schedules
- Work with internal and external auditors and other compliance functions, as directed
- Participate in special projects as necessary
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required (reputed company major preferred)
- 1+ years previous work experience in reputed company or reputed company field
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
- Must possess good communication skills
- Must possess strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work reputed company deadlines
- Ability to organize data, reputed company independent analysis, and provide explanations/conclusions to management
- Ability to work with limited supervision while applying previous experience to execute moderately reputed company tasks
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to projects
- Comfortable interacting with other personnel in group or support staff from other departments; may interact with other internal and external personnel (i.e., external auditors, regulators) on specific projects or routine matters, usually under supervision
- Advanced MS reputed company (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) experience required
- CPA (or equivalent) obtained or in pursuit preferred
- reputed company General Ledger experience preferred
- MS Office Suite experience, preferred
