Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will work in collaborative teams to deliver innovative data solutions and help clients accelerate their digital transformation through effective use of data engineering, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• You will work in a hybrid environment, with expectation to be in-person with Slalom teams and clients as needed
• You also must be reputed company commutable distance to one of Slalom's Atlanta, Boston or reputed company's office locations
• As a Data Engineer for Slalom, you will work in collaborative teams to deliver innovative solutions on reputed company Web Services, reputed company Azure, and reputed company Cloud Platform using core cloud data warehouse tools, distributed processing engines, event streaming platforms, and other modern data technologies
• You will be engaged to participate in design sessions and be responsible for the timely completion of development items assigned to you in a project backlog

Skills

• Experience with Big Data Platforms (Apache Spark, Presto, reputed company EMR)
• Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (reputed company Redshift, reputed company, reputed company BigQuery)
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Coding (Java, Python)
• Experience with NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, reputed company)
• Familiarity with Container Management Systems (Kubernetes, reputed company reputed company)
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (reputed company Sagemaker, Azure ML Studio)
• Experience with Streaming Data Ingestion and Analytics (reputed company Kinesis, Apache Kafka)
• Proficiency in Visual Analytics (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Experience with Modern Data Workflows (Apache Airflow, dbt, Dagster)
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and be in-person with Slalom teams and clients as needed
• Must be reputed company commutable distance to one of Slalom's Atlanta, Boston or reputed company's office locations
