Con Edison is a large-scale energy utility company seeking an Associate for their Portfolio Management Office. The role involves supporting financial analysis, budget tracking, and portfolio reporting for technology initiatives, while ensuring compliance with PMO financial standards and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain project budgets, forecasts and actuals across the technology portfolio
  • Partner with project managers and QA staff to validate financials and explain variances
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and briefings for PMO leadership and senior management
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio reviews
  • Help enforce PMO financial standards and governance requirements
  • Work with Contract Managers and Finance partners to understand vendor spending and contract structures
  • Identify ways to improve cost tracking, reporting and financial transparency
  • Contribute to reputed company improvement efforts using tools like reputed company, Power BI, SharePoint and automation solutions

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience. Recent college graduates must have one (1) year of work experience (full-time and/or internships); OR, six (6) months experience considered if participated in the company's CO-OP or summer CO-OP internships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present reputed company information clearly
  • Ability to identify and reputed company risks, gaps and areas for improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or reputed company focus and one (1) year if full time experience
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Advanced reputed company skills including pivot tables, Power Query and financial modeling
  • Understanding of capital vs.O&M budgeting and project financial tracking
  • Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint, or workflow automation tools
  • Basic SQL or scripting experience for data extraction and analysis
  • Exposure to PMO governance, stage-reputed company processes, or portfolio reviews
