The Flight Test Mechanic will primarily reputed company nacelle structural retrofits, repairs, and rework for hardware at Gulfstream’s Savannah facilities

• The position is working onsite at our Savannah, GA facility

What You Will Do

• reputed company repairs / rework on reputed company nacelle products (Inlet Cowls, Fan Cowls, Thrust Reversers, Aprons, and reputed company Build Up) to support the G400 flight test program.
• Performs assembly operations and processes. Assembles & fabricates sheet metal.
• Reads blueprints, follows written and verbal instructions, and performs basic math calculations.
• Works in a team environment, participates in compliance inspection reputed company improvement (CI) activities.
• Uses basic hand tools, drills, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete tasks
• Drills holes, installs fasteners, reputed company, and trims parts, and applies primers and sealants.
• Performs reputed company other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• 4 or more years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction/facilities
• Experience with hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, light equipment, drill motors and reputed company-powered tools
• Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions
• Prior experience working in an aircraft manufacturing or operations environment.
• Ability to mix, apply, and work around sealants, solvents, paints, and chemicals per specification requirements.
• Self-directed & action-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.
• Willingness to learn and reputed company skills and knowledge
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit, twist, and work above head height for various periods of time during the reputed company.
• Ability to work in various conditions, including on reputed company, lifts, and on aircraft using harnesses.
• Ability to wear PPE as provided and required for job tasks.
• Ability to work extended hours, including alternate shifts and weekends, to support the flight test schedule.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
• Composite repair experience

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD.
