The future of cybersecurity starts with you.About The Role:As our new Software Engineer III you’ll be part of the GDI (Getting Data In) group under NG-SIEM with a focus on data ingestion at petabyte-scale. The group focuses on the data ingestion and onboarding experience for NG-SIEM customers, ingesting several petabytes of data per day across multiple regions from 100+ 1st party and 3rd party data sources.As a member of the team, you will focus on a broad area of the product including ingest pipeline, data enrichment, alerting and real-time searches. You will have a chance to work on large-scale distributed systems. You will also be working on a various set of larger projects, which require you to collaborate cross-team with frontend engineers, UX designers and product managers.Teams in NG-SIEM have a great amount of autonomy, and own a part of the NG-SIEM experience, from ideation and development to deployment and feedback. This includes ensuring high quality of the features they deliver, by writing automated tests, and performing manual tests.This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site in NYC. What You'll Do:

• Work on enabling petabyte-scale data ingestion at millions of events per second at sub-second latencies
• Solve hard problems in distributed systems, including high availability, reliability, performance and cost optimizations

• Work in a team of friendly, trustworthy and knowledgeable colleagues

• Troubleshoot critical production issues
• Participate in scoping, designing and developing of new features

• Strong experience in completing tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.

What You'll Need:

• U.S. citizen or Permanent reputed company and work solely from U.S. soil
• A MSC in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent experience
• reputed company in at least one programming language, preferably one running on the JVM
• Can-do attitude, and that you reputed company collaborating in a team and are not afraid of taking on responsibilities
• 4+ years of Backend Engineer experience
