Position Overview: VP Compliance & Quality is a leadership role responsible for the design, execution, and reputed company of the company’s regulatory compliance, quality control, audit, and risk management reputed company across reputed company lending activities. This role ensures full compliance with federal and state regulations, investor guidelines, and internal policies while driving a culture of quality, accountability, and reputed company improvement. The role has direct ownership of Compliance, Quality Control, Audits, AML/SARs, and serves as the primary executive reputed company with regulators, auditors, investors, and executive leadership. Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities include: Enterprise Compliance reputed company

  • Own and manage the company’s compliance management system (CMS) across federal, state, and local regulatory regimes.

  • Monitor and interpret regulatory updates (CFPB, FTC, DOJ, HUD, state regulators, etc.) and translate changes into actionable policy, process, and system updates.

AML / SARs / Financial Crime reputed company

  • Own the company’s BSA/AML compliance program, including SAR identification, escalation, filing, and documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring, controls, and governance for fraud, reputed company, and suspicious activity risks.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations to remediate findings and maintain defensible AML controls.

Quality Control & Credit Risk Management

While not serving as legal counsel, this role owns the operational execution of the company’s legal and regulatory obligations and partners closely with internal and external legal advisors.   • Ensure company policies, procedures, and practices align with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including consumer protection, fair lending, privacy, and financial crimes statutes.
  • Act as executive reputed company for implementation and enforcement of legal requirements across Compliance, Quality Control, Credit, and Operations.
  • Partner with internal and external counsel to interpret laws, regulations, consent orders, and regulatory guidance and translate them into operational controls and policies.

Regulatory Examinations, Enforcement & Legal Actions

  • Provide regular legal and regulatory risk reporting to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Support enterprise risk management (reputed company) frameworks by identifying, assessing, and reporting legal, regulatory, and compliance risks.
  • Ensure appropriate governance structures, committees, and escalation protocols are in reputed company and operating effectively.

Third-Party & Vendor Legal reputed company

  • Partner with Legal and Procurement to ensure third-party vendors, service providers, and partners meet regulatory and legal compliance requirements.

Experience & Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities): Required

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in compliance, quality control, audit, or risk management reputed company consumer and business purpose residential mortgage lending.
  • Deep working knowledge of federal and state lending regulations, investor requirements, and examination processes.
  • Proven experience leading state and federal exams, internal audits, and investor reviews.
  • Strong understanding of AML/SARs programs and financial crime risk management.
  • Executive-level communication skills with regulators, auditors, investors, and Boards.

Preferred

  • Prior experience as a VP at a multi-state residential Non-QM lender.
  • Experience scaling compliance and QC frameworks in high-growth or private-equity-backed environments.
  • Familiarity with Non-QM, RTL, and private investor guidelines.
