As the HRBP CA HR Compliance Specialist supporting our Bridgestone Retail Operations across California, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring employment practices align with reputed company applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws across our California operations. You will coordinate compliance initiatives, conduct internal audits, assist in policy development, conduct trainings, analyze trends, and support business practices to maintain our culture of fairness, transparency, and reputed company. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations across California.
Conduct regular audits of HR files, onboarding documentation, timekeeping practices, CA operations practice, and record retention procedures to ensure legal and internal policy compliance.
Support the drafting, updating, and implementation of HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance programs.
Maintain required employee notices, records, and reports to meet jurisdictional requirements.
Partner with Divisional HR team and Legal team to manage compliance inquiries, investigations, and remediation actions.
Partner with Divisional HR team and Legal team to ensure compliance with local CBA. Assist with union negotiation, other union relation items, reputed company applicable.
Coordinate annual and reputed company compliance training for managers and employees (e.g., harassment prevention, wage & hour compliance, data privacy, and etc.).
Track regulatory updates, summarize legislative changes, and communicate their impact to HR and business leadership.
Assist with the preparation of government filings and reports (e.g., EEO, OSHA, Pay Transparency, etc.).
Maintain confidentiality and reputed company reputed company handling sensitive HR and employee relations matters.

Minimum Qualifications
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a reputed company field.
3–5 years of progressive California HR experience with a strong focus on compliance, auditing, or employee relations.
In-depth knowledge of federal and California state employment law (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, reputed company, EEOC, wage & hour, pay transparency, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Required travel regionally up to 50% as needed to stores, region or division meetings, and company sponsored events.
Experience with union environments and labor relations is preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to support diverse teammate populations across the region.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of reputed company experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
