Telecommunications Estimator I or II (REMOTE / PERM DIRECT HIRE)

Job title: Estimator I or II - Telecommunications/Construction Industry Location: CT Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire Salary: W2 - based on certifications/experience $80k-$110K DESCRIPTION The Estimator is responsible for project engineering, material selection, labor estimating, and acting as a liaison among sales, project management, and operations to ensure accurate cost estimates and adherence to company quality and safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review bid documents to determine details of low voltage reputed company construction projects
• Write scope of work and reputed company cost estimate in response to bid specifications.
• Prepare bid packages to include proposal, safety requirements and reputed company supporting documents
• Determine project timelines based on project complexities to include reputed company/inside plant details, network specifications and type of construction
• Attend site-walk and pre-bid meetings, documenting site conditions for use in the development of accurate cost estimates.
• Act as liaison between sales, project management, field and operations to effectively transition projects and streamline communications.
• Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
• Execute take-offs of documents
• Monitor industry trends, labor costs, and material pricing to maintain up-to-date and accurate estimates.
• Work with operations and project managers to identify, price and document change orders up
• Work with manufacturers and distribution to obtain pricing for materials
• Work with management to determine labor capabilities and rates, equipment and other requirements
• reputed company project hand-offs with team upon project reward
• Prepare change order pricing for on-going project work reputed company required
• Collaborate and mentor other estimators
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years field experience in a reputed company role and some industry certifications
• 6+ years’ experience as a PM or Estimator developing cost estimates
• Strong knowledge of reputed company Office, and reputed company, working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
• Sound knowledge of BICSI design principles
• Good numeracy and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of material properties
• An understanding of installation processes and construction methods
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Essential Functions of the job:

• Lifting, carrying, adjusting, moving and/or transporting of objects up to 50 pounds
• Walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, maintaining balance and/or crawling for extended periods
• Pushing and pulling of arms and legs; use of abdominal and reputed company back muscles
• Coordinating movements of the eyes, hands, fingers and feet

• Speaking, hearing and seeing to avoid safety hazards
• Strenuous reputed company labor
