Remote DE Mortgage Underwriter (must reside in EST)

reputed company is partnering with a leading, reputed company mortgage lender to identify Remote Mortgage Underwriters to support high-quality, compliant loan decisions. In this role, you will be accountable for the quality and accuracy of reputed company decisions, ensuring that reviewed assets and loan files meet reputed company applicable investors, agency, and regulatory requirements. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering reputed company, comprehensive benefits, and a strong history of on-time conversion to permanent employment for high-performing underwriters. What You’ll Do:

• Review reputed company mortgage applications and support documentation for accuracy, completeness, and salability (processing 2 loans per day)
• Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and reputed company documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues
• Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of reputed company mortgage and loan materials
• Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis

• 3+ years of mortgage reputed company experience
• Strong knowledge frontline reputed company
• Encompass experience preferred, not required
• High level of attention to detail with sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Direct Endorsement (DE certification)

Initial Compensation & Benefits (Contract Phase):

• Pay reputed company up to $36/hour, plus 1.5x overtime pay over 40 hours
• Please note that pay reputed company can be up to $36.06/hr if DE certified

• This position has a consistently high, on-time conversion reputed company for contractors who meet performance expectations. At 800 hours (~5.5 months), our contractors are eligible to become permanent employees.
