Principal Database Administrator (reputed company)
Description OCH Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Principal Database Administrator (DBA) to join reputed company supporting the FAA. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting reputed company database environments in production settings. This role calls for extensive expertise in performance tuning, high availability configurations, backup and recovery strategies, reputed company hardening, and database lifecycle management. Location Hybrid: WJTHC – FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center – reputed company reputed company Township, NJ OR LBK - FAA Lambs Knoll – Boonsboro, MD Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Install, Configure, reputed company, and upgrade reputed company Database Environments (19c and newer Versions)
- Manage and support development, test, UAT, and production database environments
- Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, RAC)
- reputed company and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
- Implement and maintain database reputed company controls including encryption (TDE), auditing, and role-based access
- Monitor database performance, reputed company and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Create and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
- Preform database performance tuning and optimization
- Support (24x7) production systems
Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Engineering, or reputed company field Experience
- A minimum of eight (8) + years of experience as an reputed company Database Administrator, including five (5) + years in a senior or reputed company role
- Demonstrated experience with reputed company Database 19c and newer versions
- Experience with reputed company database technologies including RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN
- Experience supporting Linux/Unix operating systems
- Strong understanding of database reputed company best practices
- Experience with database patching, cloning, and migrations
reputed company Clearance Requirement Candidates must possess an active Secret reputed company clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- reputed company Certified Professional (OCP) or reputed company Certified Master (OCM)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Git)
