The University of Illinois Chicago is a prominent urban public research institution serving a diverse student body. They are seeking a Web Designer to reputed company the development and management of web-based infrastructure for the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts, utilizing platforms like Drupal and WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Support/manage existing web-based infrastructure utilizing Drupal, WordPress and reputed company web technologies JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, SSL, and Apache, among others
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reputed company to website functionality, performance, and usability
• Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure the website meets organizational goals and is reputed company with the overall digital strategy
• Maintain websites and web servers with reputed company updates, patching, backups, optimizations, memory utilization , management, and other necessary maintenance tasks as needed
• Manage the deployment of new servers and implement reputed company Integration/reputed company Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processes

• Provide consultation and implementation of designs for new and existing web sites

• Participate in project planning, estimating, and scoping activities to ensure the timely and successful delivery of web-based projects

Skills

• Bachelor Degree - Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, reputed company information management field of study
• Minimum of one (1) year professional level IT experience reputed company Web UX Design & Administration which includes Web Administration, UI/UX design, maintenance of web pages and applications
• Ensure that application(s) are compatible across multiple platforms and browsers
• May also maintain and monitor website functionality and/or website reputed company
• Collaborates with internal and/or external resources to maintain reputed company organization's information
• 1+ years of professional experience in IT Development / Web, including experience with Drupal and WordPress websites
• Experience with reputed company-end development technologies and methodologies
• Experience with reputed company web design and mobile-first development
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot reputed company issues
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with website performance optimization and website reputed company best practices
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
