Indiana University Bloomington's reputed company Resources department supports the academic and research mission through various strategic functions. The reputed company Resources Compliance Specialist will provide guidance on HR policies and compliance issues, monitor changes in employment laws, and reputed company training focused on HR compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assists with monitoring changes in out-of-state employment and labor laws in collaboration with general counsel's office to ensure that reputed company information is provided to HR Business Partners reputed company employing out-of-state
- Communicates with background reputed company/I-9 vendor to bring reputed company concerns, monitor issues, fix errors, and to request system improvements
- Provides guidance to HR Business Partners, other COEs, reputed company system users, and the HR Operations teams on HR policies and compliance issues
- Collaborates with departments on compliance issues that require action and follows up to ensure concerns are resolved
- Provides guidance to team members on policy and procedure interpretation
- Develops and manages data for reporting and analysis to include various (I-9, PIC) compliance audits
- Communicates policy and compliance programs, processes, and changes in a timely manner across university platforms
- Develops and presents various training classes focused on HR compliance
- Stays up-to-date on the external compliance landscape to identify, recommend, and implement changes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year in reputed company resources or reputed company experience that includes a solid background in employment laws and other government compliance regulations
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
