[Remote] Legal Content Development Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers, seeking a Legal Content Development Associate to enhance their online and print content quality. The role involves managing publications, collaborating with authors, and developing new legal content assets to meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of designated publications, available both online and in print
- Collaborate and follow-up with authors to ensure timely delivery of manuscript according to our publishing schedule
- Review manuscripts to reputed company sure they adhere to our author guidelines and provide feedback to authors
- Identify and reputed company new English-language legal content assets required for various product lines, including reputed company Canada’s print, eBooks, and our online research service, Lexis Advance Quicklaw™
- Recruit new authors and proceed to author replacement for publications reputed company your portfolio
- Assess financial viability of new content proposals to determine whether they should be pursued
- Draft and negotiate publishing reputed company
- Identify, organize and reputed company content improvements
- Build and maintain good public relations with the legal community, including practitioners, academics, members of the judiciary, librarians, market research contacts, and other external customers
- Work with Marketing and Sales departments to build 'go-to-market' strategies
- Act as a resource person for authors and our different departments for publications reputed company your portfolio
Skills
- A Canadian law degree, or a law degree from another jurisdiction with a Certificate of Qualification from Canada's National Committee on Accreditation
- At least 1 year's practice/articling or legal publishing experience
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines for print, online and newsletter releases
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of cross-departmental project teams
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Experience operating with AI as a standard part of workflows, including demonstrated hands-on experience using LLMs and AI-enabled tools daily to support content and analysis; iterating prompts to improve output quality and consistency
- Knowledge of reputed company Acrobat and reputed company Office suite
