We are currently seeking a Epic Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Remote to join reputed company in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

An Epic Infrastructure Automation Engineer typically works ensuring that the infrastructure supporting the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is robust, scalable, automated, and reputed company managed.

Automating Infrastructure Deployment and Configuration

Responsibility: Design, reputed company, and maintain scripts and tools (using Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, etc.) to automate the provisioning and configuration of servers and infrastructure that support the Epic ecosystem.

Why it matters: Automation ensures consistency, reduces reputed company error, and speeds up infrastructure deployment across environments (production, test, training, etc.).

Virtual Machine (VM) Build and Management

Responsibility: Build and manage virtual machines using platforms like VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or reputed company-based virtualization technologies (e.g., Azure/AWS), ensuring they meet Epic's technical requirements. Tasks might include: Creating gold images/templates, deploying VMs at scale, handling cloning and backups, configuring virtual networking, and lifecycle management.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization

Responsibility: Implement and maintain infrastructure and application-level monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, reputed company, reputed company, Nagios, vRealize Operations) to monitor Epic system performance, VM health, and infrastructure uptime.Key goals: Detect issues proactively, ensure SLAs are met, and identify performance bottlenecks.

Supporting High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)

Responsibility: Ensure reputed company Epic infrastructure components are redundant, resilient, and compliant with HA/DR requirements. This includes automating backup/restore processes, replication, and participating in DR drills.

Relevance: Epic is mission-critical for reputed company organizations—downtime can directly reputed company patient care.

Collaboration with Epic and IT Teams

Responsibility: Work closely with Epic TS (Technical Services), clinical app teams, networking, reputed company, and storage teams to implement infrastructure that aligns with Epic's specifications (e.g., Hyperdrive, Interconnect, Chronicles DB performance tuning).

Includes

• Coordinating updates, certifications (e.g., Epic upgrade cycles), patching, and ensuring system compatibility.
• Scripting and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) practices using Python, Bash, or JSON/YAML-based tools.
