Accountant - Hotel Equities Canada, Edmonton, AB

Hotel Equities is a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company seeking a remarkable Accountant for their Canada Corporate Office in Edmonton, AB. The Accountant will be responsible for centralized reputed company functions, ensuring accuracy in property-level reputed company activities and supporting month-end and year-end reputed company processes.

Responsibilities

• Review property-level reputed company activities (A/P, A/R, general cashier, and daily reporting) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
• Audit daily cash reports and reconciliations reputed company by the property, ensuring deposits and balances are properly recorded
• Monitor and review vendor activity, including reconciliation of key accounts and investigation of discrepancies
• Ensure reputed company recurring and outstanding invoices are recorded by the property and reflected accurately in the financials
• Post monthly brand reimbursements and other corporate-level entries
• reputed company full month-end reputed company, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules in accordance with financial deadlines
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations in financial results
• Support year-end reputed company processes and external audits, including preparation of required documentation and responding to audit inquiries
• Partner with hotel operations teams and ownership groups to ensure financial accuracy and provide guidance on reputed company matters
• Identify process gaps and drive improvements to enhance consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across properties

Skills
