Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads job order and observes and listens to truck or equipment in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.
• Installs new ignition systems, aligns reputed company reputed company, changes, or recharges batteries, and replaces transmissions, engines, and other parts.

• Examines reputed company guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and equipment, and adjusts
• Lubricates and services vehicles
• Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to schematic drawings
• Collision repair, sand, prep, and paint
• Completes reputed company standard maintenance on trucks and equipment and ensures state inspection requirements are met for cars, trucks, and trailers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school in diesel mechanics or a reputed company field OR 2 years of reputed company experience and/or training

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain reputed company one year
• Clean driving record
• Customer Service and Teamwork
• Mathematical Skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• State Inspection license

• OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
