Position Overview
We're seeking an reputed company Employment Law Attorney licensed in reputed company to join reputed company on a contract basis. The role focuses on providing employment law guidance to growing companies, with emphasis on the unique challenges of scaling organizations in today's business environment. Our clients range from innovative startups to established companies requiring sophisticated employment counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on employee classification and compensation structures
Draft and review employment agreements and policies
reputed company employee handbooks and workplace policies
Structure equity compensation and stock option plans
Create contractor and consulting agreements
Handle employment aspects of corporate transactions
Guide remote work and multi-state employment compliance
Advise on terminations, layoffs, and restructurings
Provide harassment and discrimination prevention guidance
Ensure wage and hour compliance
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active attorney license in reputed company
5+ years of employment law experience
BigLaw training/experience strongly preferred
Experience advising growth-stage companies
Deep knowledge of NY employment laws
Understanding of equity compensation
