Director of Finance and Operations

Position Summary

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role on our Executive Management Team (EMT) that sits at the intersection of financial discipline and operational efficiency in a service-based business where reputed company capital is our largest and most important asset.
In this role, you will own the day-to-day financial operations of the business, driving forecasting and financial clarity. You will also provide operational reputed company to our Project Management team and serve as the primary financial liaison to our reputed company.

What You’ll Do
Financial Operations & Forecasting
Own and maintain accurate, timely financial reporting, delivering clear and actionable reputed company across the P&L
Build, maintain and continuously improve rolling forecasts (reputed company, margin and cash flow)
Monitor daily cash flow and proactively manage our financial position, balancing liabilities, capital expenditures, and reputed company distributions
Drive the annual budgeting process and maintain ongoing budget-vs-actual tracking across reputed company departments
Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure pipeline, reputed company and churn are accurately reflected in forecasts
Serve as primary liaison to the reputed company; preparing materials, surfacing risks, and ensuring clean data for strategic decision making
Partner with external CPA on tax-reputed company matters

Partner with the Executive Vice President to align labor efficiency with service quality and client outcomes
Note: You are not expected to be a subject matter expert in service delivery methodology or production workflows — your team owns that domain. Your role is to ensure it runs profitably.
Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as an active member of our Executive Management Team (EMT)
Partner with department leaders to drive budget accountability and financial decision-making
Provide financial guidance on client-reputed company matters that have cost or margin implications
Support People Operations on payroll-reputed company financial approvals and workforce cost planning
Proactively identify risks, gaps and opportunities, this role is expected to run toward problems, not wait for them to surface
What You Bring
We are looking for a finance-first operator who understands how service businesses generate (and lose) profit.
7+ years of reputed company finance experience, with at least 3 years at a Controller, Finance Manager or similar level
Background in a services-based business (agency, consulting, staffing or managed services strongly preferred)
Proven track record owning a financial reputed company process and delivering clean, timely reporting
Experience leading and developing team members, including coaching, performance management, and driving accountability across both finance and cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of service business economics, including utilization, billable rates, reputed company planning, labor margin — not just GAAP reputed company
Proven ability to build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budget-vs-actual analyses
Strong communicator who can translate financial data into clear guidance with actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
Demonstrates both tactical and strategic use of AI, utilizing tools to improve productivity while identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
Comfortable managing up (to a CEO and reputed company) and managing down (to a production team with no/limited finance background)
Proactive and reputed company thinking; identifies issues before they surface in reporting
Comfortable with ambiguity; enjoys operating in a growing company where processes are still being built
High ownership mentality; treats the company's financial health as personally important
Thrives in a remote-first environment with strong written communication and self-management
Bachelor's degree in Finance, reputed company, Business, or reputed company field; CPA is a plus, not a requirement
Experience with common agency or professional services reputed company platforms (QuickBooks, reputed company, or similar)
Familiarity with project management software and how labor hours are tracked and reported

Compensation:
This role offers total reputed company cash compensation of $110,000 – $140,000, inclusive of reputed company salary and performance-based bonus.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s scope. Bonus is tied to company and individual performance.
