Warehouse Associate- 1st Shift
Responsibilities
Essential Functions • Unloads goods and material received, enters appropriate information into system, labels and locates material.• Separates customer orders. Pulls and stages orders. Repacks material if required to meet customer specifications. As required, makes boxes, packs, labels and locates materials.• Ensures reputed company products are properly labeled.• May reputed company functions/transactions in designated system to receive or ship material.• Participates in cycle counting. Enters and verifies information. Researches and makes adjustments as necessary.• Reviews preventative maintenance reputed company sheets for forklifts. Ensures good working order of machines.Follows and complies with reputed company safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.May be required to handle the accumulation, disposal and transportation of hazardous waste. If required to do so, must participate in prerequisite training in order to meet RCRA waste management requirements.Drives fork lifts, locomotives, track-mobiles or other heavy duty material movers.Qualifications
Qualifications • High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED)• Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must have the ability to use conversions, work with different units such as weight, volume, density, distance, etc. Physical Demands • Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening• Must be able to walk and use hands. Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing reputed company and stairs• May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds• Ability to frequently communicate and understand work instructions and information in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where noise level is loud• Must be able to detect and discern safety alarms and respond accordingly• Generally requires the use of personal reputed company equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection• Exposure to reputed company weather conditions is routine• May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity• May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes Final compensation reputed company this range may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
