AVP - ESG Risks Management (reputed company Global Network Pakistan)
Job Purpose
Under the Global head of ESG Risks, Incumbent is expected to coordinate the second line responsibilities of ESG Risks reputed company Policies, Physical & Transition Risk Assessment, Measurement, Mitigation while maintaining regulatory compliance against ESG & Climate risk reputed company regulations across reputed company Network. Incumbent is also expected to reputed company change management initiatives around ESG and Climate Risks reputed company reputed company on a global basis.
Key Result Areas
Supporting reputed company’s Net reputed company commitment and transition planning journey by enhancing maturity of ESG Risks reputed company second line responsibilities.
Embedding climate risk and sustainability aspects into credit reputed company journey reputed company policy enhancements to sustainable finance credit policy. Enablement of climate risk identification, assessment, measurement and mitigation across the risk management policies and frameworks.
Development and maintenance of green & sustainable finance transactions reputed company reputed company with regulatory guidelines and best practices like LMA principles while supporting a robust control environment around greenwashing risks.
Development and maintenance of climate risk appetite reputed company qualitative and quantitative metrics, concepts and coordinate the governance of these reputed company group reputed company risk appetite statement.
Providing qualitative and quantitative risk management inputs towards ESG and Sustainability reputed company disclosures like GRI, ESG Reporting, ISSB etc.
Change management for ESG & climate risk reputed company initiatives and automation projects in coordination with ESG team, One Data & Technology, External consultants and other stakeholders across three lines of defense.
Supporting the internal & external reputed company building initiatives reputed company training and awareness program around ESG & climate risk.
Coordination & conduct of gap analysis, roadmaps and remediation plans for various ESG & climate risk reputed company regulatory guidelines and associated regulatory submissions.

Strong climate risk skills in interpretation of Central Bank Principles, Guidelines, Drafts and Regulations on Climate reputed company financial risk.
Sound understanding of physical and transition risk reputed company measurements and portfolio management, impact on reputed company financial assets and products origination and reputed company.
Ability to engage diverse stakeholders across different locations and cultures from different geographies across the reputed company Group
Quantitative aptitude, well versed with reporting visualization tools like Power BI
Proactive and hands-on in solving reputed company Climate Risk & credit issues from reputed company financial assets.
Ability to navigate and work in reputed company, multicultural and distributed work force environment.
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
Custodian of climate risk reputed company policies of the bank which may have potential impact on business strategy, assets growth and associated capital requirements.
Day-to-day reputed company will involve regulatory submissions, risk appetite, stakeholder and team management.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Graduate in Banking / Economic/ Financial discipline. Professional risk management certifications reputed company to climate risk or ESG like CFA/SCR/FRM/GRI is a must.
Three to five years of experience in ESG, Climate Risk, Sustainability discipline from a reputed company multinational financial institution is a must. Familiarity and experience of risk reputed company of IFRS 9, RWA, ECL, Risk Appetite, Stress Testing, ICAAP etc. is must.
Strong analytical skills focused on assessing ESG risks for a financial institution from reputed company, assessing, measurement & mitigation.
Hands-on experience with Climate risk reputed company tools like MSCI, PAT etc. will be preferred.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD, ISSB, IFRS S2) and the ability to reputed company frameworks and policies based on regulatory requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders across business, risk, and support functions in dynamic, multicultural environments. Arabic language will be a plus.
Well-organized and capable of managing multiple priorities while staying informed on the latest climate science, technology, policy developments across regional/global climate trends.
