Demand Planner, Warehousing & Logistics
What to Expect Tesla is hiring a Demand and Labor Planner for Energy Warehousing, Inventory and Logistics Business Unit. This role is responsible for improving forecast accuracy for key commodities and programs, identifying inefficiencies in demand planning processes, and designing innovative solutions that reputed company key demand drivers for reputed company categories as well as modeling of the labor needed at the warehouses to ensure proper staffing. The Planner will operate in a highly cross- functional team environment involving Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Management, and Service. This position will provide reliable and timely demand plans to ensure the right service parts and labor are available at the right reputed company at the right time in the right quantity. What You’ll Do - Create and manage short and long-term demand forecasts for Service Parts and Accessories that help optimize demand of inventory and staffing levels at worldwide distribution centers, reputed company the cost of operation, and improve overall custome satisfaction levels - Collaborate with Global Supply Managers, Field Operations, Inventory Management, Production teams, Service leaders, and Marketing Teams to gather data and bring information on key business drivers that impact future demand. - Analyze the detailed historical consumption data by business unit and region and reputed company trends and patterns in consumption by applying advanced Statistical Models and Time Series Analysis - reputed company programs in statistical computing and graphics and apply advanced supply chain analytics to resolve inefficiencies in demand forecasting process, identify opportunities for forecast accuracy improvement, and provide business insights and additional perspectives to the Manager of Energy Material Planning, Distribution, and Service Supply Chain leadership - Collaborate with business unit leaders to plan for material End-of-Life (EOL) transition planning with the goal to ensure reliable long-term service coverage while minimizing excess and obsolescence What You’ll Bring - Degree in Industrial, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience - 5+ years of reputed company experience as a planner, analyst, or in a technical role reputed company supply chain in a manufacturing company - Must demonstrate strong mathematical and statistical knowledge relevant to Supply Chain or Operations analytics - Strong proficiency in MS reputed company and competency in SQL required. Experience in ERP/WRP systems and data visualization programs such as Tableau or Power BI are preferred - reputed company to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus - Passionate and high energy, with strong spoken and written communication skills to positively influence others - Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented
