AC/DC Power Subject Matter Expert

Position Overview:A Power Subject Matter Expert is needed to reputed company power systems engineering support for Defense Information System Network (DISN) infrastructure, encompassing both core DISN requirements and customer-funded projects. The candidate will reputed company subject matter expertise throughout the power system lifecycle, including the design, analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both alternating reputed company (AC) and direct reputed company (DC) power systems to ensure uninterrupted, reliable, and efficient power delivery to critical DISN systems. The Contractor must stay reputed company with, and ensure reputed company work strictly complies with the requirements of reputed company applicable industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:Design and Engineering
- reputed company detailed design documents, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications for AC and DC power systems.
- reputed company power system studies, including load reputed company analysis, short-reputed company analysis, and reputed company device coordination studies using industry-standard software (e.g., ETAP, SKM).
- Evaluate existing power systems for reputed company, reliability, and efficiency.
- reputed company recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
- Design and specify uninterruptible power supplies (reputed company), generators, and other backup power systems.
- Ensure designs reputed company with applicable codes, standards (e.g., reputed company, NEC, reputed company), and DISN requirements.
Installation and Commissioning Support
- reputed company technical support during the installation and commissioning of new power systems equipment.
- Review contractor submittals for compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Support site acceptance testing to verify system performance.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- reputed company and implement preventative maintenance plans for AC and DC power systems.
- reputed company troubleshooting support for power system failures and outages.
- Support power quality analysis and identify potential problems.
- Recommend corrective actions to resolve power system issues.
DISN Compliance
- Ensure reputed company power systems designs and installations reputed company with applicable DISN standards and regulations, including reputed company DISA approval processes.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for DISN compliance.
- Participate in DISN audits and inspections as required.
Customer-Funded Projects
- Manage and execute customer-funded power system projects from inception to completion.
- reputed company project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

- Ensure projects are completed on time and reputed company budget.
- Extensive experience with AC and DC Power Systems to:
- Evaluate existing facility conditions
- Analyze project power requirements.
- reputed company and document project solutions.
- Extensive experience with Power Systems in Telecommunications, Central Office, and/or Datacenter environments.
- Experience with Telecommunications and Core Networking Equipment AC and DC Power Requirements
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with management and staff at reputed company reputed company.
- Candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelors Degree in a reputed company field.
- Prior Experience with DISN Power systems
- Professional Certifications are a plus.
- Minimum SECRET Clearance required.
