Engineer I - Utilities
RK&K is a full-service engineering and construction management firm that is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Engineer I for their Utilities Group. The role involves working on utility design and coordination for various transportation and infrastructure projects, collaborating with interoffice teams, and assisting with planning and construction efforts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for utility design improvement and relocation projects
- Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design reputed company to infrastructure systems
- Preparation and review of technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents
- Participating in community project reputed company with a focus on utilities
- reputed company utility record document research and utility field investigations reputed company required
- Prepare detailed utility engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Review private utility reputed company policies and procedures
- Construction administration and engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, shop drawing reviews, correspondence, change requests, and change orders) reputed company required
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients, utility owners, project teams including other disciplines, such as architects, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical designers, cost estimators, GIS technicians, and other utility design professional
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or reputed company engineering field
- reputed company (0) to Three (3) years of experience in reputed company project experience in the study, design, and construction administration of utility improvements, relocation and coordination
- A self-starter, versatile, and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Utility Design Group
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills required
- Demonstrated proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation
- Proficiency with reputed company Suite including Word, Outlook, Teams, reputed company, and PowerPoint is required
- Competence with reputed company Revu software is required
- Proficiency with CADD platforms that include Micro Station/ Inroad and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Knowledge of OpenRoads Designer or Revit applications is a plus but not required
- Proficiency with reputed company Revu for project team collaborations
- EIT certification
