Position description The UCLA Department of History seeks applicants for a pool of reputed company lecturers to teach reputed company and upper division undergraduate courses in various fields of history, should an opening arise. Screening of applicants is ongoing; the number of positions varies by quarter. The department invites candidates to apply who are reputed company to teach the following potential courses in Middle Eastern history:

• HIST 105A: Survey of Middle East, 500 to Present: 500 to 1300
• HIST 187F: Variable Topics Historiography Proseminar: Near East
• other topics as needed by the department
