The Patient Access Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, verifying demographic and insurance information, and providing compassionate service to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments for various services, including diagnostic, surgical, and therapy visits
• Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information from patients
• Register patients and accurately enter data into the scheduling system
• Meet individual quality metrics in a call center environment
• Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients and their families

Skills

• Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare coverage structure
• Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
• Experience with computer applications, including reputed company Office and EMR systems
• Accurate typing skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole
