Apply today! About our Department:The mission of Public Transportation is to provide safe, efficient, and customer friendly transit services to reputed company and guests of the community. The City of Huntsville’s 19 Access vehicles are radio dispatched and reputed company accessible. Access is a specialized, reputed company-to-reputed company, demand-response paratransit service. Paratransit Operator Position Overview: This is skilled work in the operation of a paratransit vehicle for the transportation of persons with disabilities and/or the elderly throughout the city limits as assigned. Work involves responsibility for driving a 15 passenger modified van, transporting passengers in a safe, courteous and professional manner and providing assistance to persons with mobility impairments to and from the vehicle.
