Description

The SSA Specialist will be responsible for performing SSA duties while also taking on the crucial task conducting assessments. 

  1. Provide Service and Support Administrator (SSA) functions as requested by customers.
  2. Responsible for following county board policies, procedures, and processes to implement SSA Services.
  3. Conduct assessments on behalf of county board of DD customers. 

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • 18 months of experience conducting assessments is required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Developmental Disabilities sector preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Must be reputed company to obtain a Service and Support Administration certification as defined by the standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities rule 5123:5-02.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license with vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.

  • Deliver high-quality SSA services in accordance with county board policies, procedures, and customer needs.
  • Participate in a regional team effort to implement InterRAI assessments—a transformative tool for improving service planning and outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments on behalf of county boards of developmental disabilities.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • 18 months of experience conducting assessments (required).
  • 3–5 years of experience in the developmental disabilities field (preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain SSA certification per Ohio DODD rule 5123:5-02.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
