Design Engineer in Training
ENMAX is committed to a brighter energy future and is seeking a Design Engineer-in-Training to support residential servicing projects. The role involves preparing detailed designs, cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide estimates, detailed design, planning, and project coordination of engineering and construction activities for residential distribution projects
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external customers, and design consultants, on new distribution service installations
- Ensure designs are safe, practical, economical, and constructible
- Undertake special projects as required by the URD Team reputed company
- Ensure reputed company applicable engineering, industry and ENMAX Corporation standards, codes, regulations and public safety, are applied in designs
- Provide exceptional customer service by proactively managing client expectations and resolving technical and project issues in a timely manner
- Identify and support process improvements

Skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Sound engineering and operational knowledge of distribution utility systems
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and complete work reputed company deadlines
- Must hold a valid driver's license with no more than 6 demerits and be reputed company to attend site visits
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to build key relationships with stakeholders
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills with a willingness to learn
- Work effectively as a member of a team
