Senior Project Manager - PV Solar (Remote – NY/NJ/CT/PA Applicants ONLY)

Talva Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead solar and energy storage projects (100kW–5MW) across the Northeast. This role is ideal for someone with strong project management experience, knowledge of permitting and utility processes, and the ability to guide teams through complex, multi-site renewable energy projects. A NABCEP certification is preferred. Location & Travel: · Remote/hybrid: 50% remote and 50% travel · Monthly in-person meetings at our Warwick, NY headquarters · Regular travel to project sites in the Northeast (with occasional travel beyond) What You’ll Do: · Lead solar and energy storage projects from design through commissioning and closeout · Manage permitting, interconnection, utilities, and compliance with building codes · Oversee subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure safe, high-quality work · Track budgets, schedules, and contracts to deliver projects on time and within scope · Identify risks and opportunities, implement process improvements, and mentor staff · Foster collaboration across sales, design, installation, and finance teams · Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability What We’re Looking For: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field (advanced degrees/certifications a plus) · 5+ years of project management or operations experience (renewables preferred) · Strong understanding of solar permitting, codes, and utility interconnection · Proven ability to manage large portfolios or multi-million-dollar projects · Skilled in contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management · Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills · Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam; PVsyst/AutoCAD a plus · NABCEP Certification preferred · Valid driver’s license; ability to travel 50% Compensation & Benefits: · Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 · Annual bonus eligible · Commission opportunities · Dental benefits · Vision benefits · Retirement fund matching · Flexible PTO · Professional development opportunities Why Join Us: · Be part of a fast-growing renewable energy firm making an impact on sustainability and clean energy adoption. · Work on high-visibility projects with public and private clients across the Northeast and beyond. · Collaborate with a talented, supportive team that values innovation and professional growth. · Enjoy the flexibility of a remote-first culture with in-person collaboration opportunities. · Build a career in an industry that’s shaping the future of energy.
