Job Summary

The Manager State & Higher Education will be responsible for coaching and professionally developing Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management. This leader will also be responsible for increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of the managed travel industry and the ability to identify, hire, onboard, and train a sales organization of trusted advisors.

Key Responsibilities

* Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and revenue growth targets

  • Increase sales and revenue through strategic partnerships and business development initiatives
  • Establish and maintain formal partnerships with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Broaden awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services through targeted marketing and outreach efforts
  • Identify, hire, onboard, and train a sales organization of trusted advisors to serve managed travel accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement officers, and travel managers

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in sales and revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of the managed travel industry and its key players
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field
  • Experience working with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Strong network of contacts in the managed travel industry
  • Experience with sales training and development programs
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
  • Bonus structure: up to 20% of annual salary
