Business Analyst/Product Owner
Location: REMOTE Salary: $20.00 USD Hourly - $25.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Business Analyst/Product Owner This job will have the following responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy
- Lead the full product lifecycle—from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Align product decisions with business goals, customer needs, and the long‑term roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to shape product direction and ensure strategic alignment.
Backlog Management
- Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to ensure clarity and alignment on priorities.
- Provide development teams with well‑defined requirements and context to support efficient execution.
User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories/defects with detailed acceptance criteria.
- Ensure stories and defects are fully groomed, well‑understood, and ready for development.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage closely with customers, business leaders, engineering, and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and communicate updates.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
Sprint Planning & Review
- Actively participate in sprint planning to clarify priorities, scope, and goals.
- Review completed work and accept user stories at sprint close, ensuring quality and alignment.
User‑Centric Focus
- Advocate for end‑users by deeply understanding needs, behaviors, and pain points—especially within the prior authorization journey.
- Ensure product decisions reflect customer value and usability.
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate product development processes and drive implementation of best practices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance team efficiency, product quality, and outcomes.
Adaptability
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities and ambiguous challenges.
- Maintain focus while navigating competing demands and rapid change.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of product management experience, including new product development.
- 1+ years of experience building external market products (not just internal tools).
- 1+ years of experience developing digital solutions.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Proficiency with agile tools such as Rally or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with engineering and cross‑functional partners.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate business goals into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem (payers, providers, regulatory bodies).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to guide decision‑making.
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
